- Etc.

We recommend that you review our Privacy Policy.
Do I need to upload pictures to my job description?
Uploading pictures can increase the amount of bids you will receive. Although pictures are not required, they can help service providers submit more accurate bids.
We strongly recommend that you upload pictures to help describe your job.
I have not received any bids for my job what can I do?
A detailed description of the job is critical to getting bids. We suggest that you include as much information as possible in the job description and that you select the appropriate category of the job.
An example of an incomplete description would be "I need somebody to paint some rooms in my house".
A more complete description would include:
- Measurements of the rooms (e.g. Paint two rooms, total area to paint is aprox. 300 sq.ft or walls are 6 feet long and 8 feet tall)
- Additional details related to the job (e.g. The beds will have to be moved to a different room in the house prior to painting; I'd like to see some paint samples before choosing a color. I like pastels)
- Include pictures
- Include a budget if you have one
- Decide whether the materials needed for this job should be included in the budget
What if I don't like any of the bids that have been submitted?
You have no obligation to accept a bid if you are not satisfied. You can also lengthen the bidding period by increasing the runtime of your job.
Do I need to list a budget for my job?
Providing a budget is not required, although it greatly helps providers submit competitive bids. If no budget is listed we recommend you provide as much information as possible so that bidders can submit an accurate quote. Your budget is there for informational purposes only. You are NOT committing to spend that amount.
Are service providers in Fixr certified?
Not at this point. Service Providers are responsible for registering accurate information in their profiles. We strongly recommend that you use our review system and that you perform adequate checks to validate providers.

Is Fixr a lead generation service?
Fixr provides free leads for service providers but also goes the extra mile by allowing them to manage their bids and compare and adjust them depending on the competition. Fixr also keeps a written record of all communications between the job poster and the service provider.
I submitted the lowest bid for a job but the job poster did not select me, why?
Fixr is not a reverse auction site. Job Posters can select bids based on different criteria:
- Comments associated with the bid amount which may include additional terms offered by the service provider (e.g. money-back guarantees, etc.).
- Service provider reviews and reputation.
- Etc.
Are bids binding?
Yes. If you have bid on a job and get awarded you are bound to the bid that you posted.
