About Us
Hinrichs Fine Woods originated in 1993 with the objective of offering a higher quality product than its competitors. If three coats of finish were adequate, we used four; where others used screws and nails we used wood joints to hold cabinets together. Our original focus was building custom cabinets and furniture using solid wood. We also specialized in antique furniture restoration and repair. Exceeding customer expectations was the key in this equation.
Today Hinrichs Fine Woods has grown into its current 2,400 square foot location. We are better equipped than ever with our experience and facilities to build bookcases, entertainment centers, kitchen and bath cabinets, and other solid wood furniture.
Restoring antiques and family heirlooms is a science at Hinrichs Fine Woods. We take every precaution in restoring furniture for another 80 years of service. Refinishing consists of removing the old finish by hand instead of dipping the piece in stripper, which can loosen the joints and make the grain rise. Doors and drawers are repaired and adjusted so they work like new. The outside and inside of the cabinet are sanded smooth. Stain can be color matched to existing furniture or the original colors of the antique wood can be enhanced. Finally, four coats of finish are applied inside and out to seal the wood.
