Questions and answers
- How many projects do you average in a year?
We average about 700 projects in a year. They range from simple residential outlet changes to commerial 3 phase rewires.
- What do you wish customers knew about your profession or trade?
All electrical Installations have to be minimum code. We use the 2011 NEC to make sure all our installation are proper and safe. Saying that, Minimum Code means just that, some jobs need more than minimum and we will suggest and explain all options for you and allow you to make the best decision.
- What questions should a customer ask before hiring a professional in your trade?
Have you done this type of work before? There are alot of electrical contractors that have switched markets to try and expand work opportunities. Its always best to have an electrician that has seen and performed the work in question.
- How did you get started?
I hold a degree from ITT Tech in Computer Engineering, I also hold a Career Diploma as a Electrician. I have worked for Jacobson Electric as an Electrician, Comcast as an Installer, and Guardian Protection in the Commercial Installation department. In 2008 I stared Bayton Electrical Contracting.
- What are the most frequent questions you get from customers? What are the answers?
What is the difference between free estimates and service calls?
A free estimate is for new installations, during a free estimate we come and discuss your ideas and take measurements and quote price based on that information. A service call is when something is not working as expected and requires us to find and fix the problem. There is a fee for the service call and is usually billed hourly plus materials. We can not give estimate for service call because we need to find the issue, once issue is found we can quote repair cost. A service call is not a free estimate but a billable service. Please call for Rate.
- What brands or products do you work with?
we work with all major Brands and Products our customers request. Some of the Brands that we suggest is Square D, General Electric, Siemens, Levington, Sony as well as others.
- What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?
We warranty all work preformed by us for a period of one year. Returning customers get preferred pricing to show our appreciation for their continued loyalty.
- What areas of your trade do you specialize in?
We specialize in Residential and Commercial Electrical, HVAC, and Media Installations and Trouble Shooting.
- What would you recommend customers looking to save money?
One of the things that I stress to customers that are trying to save money, is to hire a reputable company that warranties their products. Also alot of times i have replaced products that were only a couple of years old because the last company sold them generic products to keep the original costs down. In the long run this usually cost the customer alot more money. When comparing quotes a customer should be comparing price and quality of product.
