- How did you get started?
When Britain's construction industry slumped in the 1990s, British Remodeling's founders, Trevor Higginbotham and Gary Quinn, crossed the pond, bringing their construction skill and experience to the Washington DC metro area.
We refined our craft working in the embassies and grand mansions of the nation's capital. Today, British Remodeling prides itself on delivery of a timely and superior product.
Our staff is personally trained and managed by Trevor and Gary to ensure expert remodeling/construction know-how and quality craftsmanship.
- What certifications or professional affiliations do you have?
We are a licensed home improvement contractor and licensed Class B contractor. We are bonded, fully insured and permit-compliant.
We provide a one-year warranty on all our work. Our team members are trained, screened professionals who will treat your property with complete respect and privacy.

British Remodeling charges by the job, not by the hour, so there are no hidden fees or charges. Your free estimate will include materials and labor, and if additional work needs to be done or you wish to add options to the job, we will recalculate the price and commence work upon your approval.

A long and varied list of small repair/remodeling projects that have been on my To-Do list for a long time, including several partially completed projects that I started myself but never had the time or energy to finish myself. Four days work. I applaud them for arriving on time for the estimate and also for every workday. Fair price. They're friendly and courteous. They listened to my ideas and suggested good ones, too. Cleaned up every day. Checked each day to see if I was satisfied with progress and results (I was). And I am happy with the quality of their work. I've already recommended them to my friends and neighbors.
