About Design Seating by Taj
Design Seating by Taj's Upholstery services specializes in commercial upholstery! We have been in the upholstery business for over 35 years. Throughout this time, we have acquired techniques that will ensure the work we do is of utmost quality and appearance.
We prefer to work directly at your establishment, meaning your booths and seating doesn't have to leave the premises.
We focus to your needs! If work can only be completed during certain business hours, so be it! We focus on perfection. You won't find sloppy work from us. If something isn't right, we will take the time to fix it, whatever it takes.
Everything is customizable! If you are considering remodel work and/or want to change the look of your restaurant, we can provide you with a sizable variety of materials, colors and patterns as well as structural changes to your booths.

Talk to us. There is always a way to make things work. If a tight budget is what you have to work with, then we will explore our options to make things work. We understand things are tight right now and we factor this into our prices.

Ask to see some of the professional's work. If you are dealing with something such as upholstery work, you want to see some examples.

I wish customer's understood the time and patience it takes to create a piece that really looks good.
- What areas of your trade do you specialize in?
We specialize in commercial upholstery. Restaurant booths, chairs and stools commonly tear and create an eye sore for customers. It is important to keep your restaurant in top shape to keep up with competitors.
- Tell us about the project or job that you are most proud of (in the last 12 months).
We recently finished a 2 week project for a local Chinese restaurant opening in Grover Beach, California. We worked closely with the owner to select the best color scheme and completed the entire restaurant. Things looked excellent.
- What brands or products do you work with?
We work only with the higher quality products to ensure our work lasts for as long as possible. Some may request we use a lower quality material to save money, but we recommend you choose the material that will last, saving you money in the long run.
- What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?
We will drop in regularly to ensure that your seating is maintained and that our work has held up. While we expect our work to last, we want to be sure it does.
