• What questions should a customer ask before hiring a professional in your trade?
A.

• Rather than simply asking questions, I encourage you to talk to the writer or editor you are considering and see if you feel a rapport with this person. Even if you are communicating solely by email, you can get a feel for the person you are dealing with and a sense of whether you are comfortable with her or him, also whether you feel your needs and the writer/editor's personality and attitudes are compatible.

  Of course you should ask whatever questions you have and voice any specific concerns you have. These may be relevant to the work itself, the time frame required, confidentiality if that is an issue, or the writer/editor's past experience.

• What areas of your trade do you specialize in?
A.

• I can write and edit most types of material. I have 54 conventionally published books and over 50 published e-books to my credit. (These are not self-published.) That tally does not include books I have ghosted for others.

  I have edited both books and magazines as well as other materials such as web copy.

  I have written ads, scripts for promotional videos, web copy, blogs, and more.

  As a ghostwriter, I respect client confidentiality. If you hire me to write materials that will go out under your name, I will not divulge my authorship of your book, blog, or other writing.

  In all my work I turn in clean copy and respect deadlines. I will not disappoint you.

• What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?
A.

• If you need to hire me to proofread a book I have either ghosted or edited, I can do that. If you need me to tweak some material I have written for you, reasonable rewrites and tweaks do not incur additional charges.

  Naturally it is my hope that you will have additional assignments for me. I have quite a few recurring clients for whom I have written and/or edited multiple materials. If you have a book and need free advice about submitting it to publishing houses, or self-publishing it, or about marketing it, that is available.
