Questions and answers
- What areas of your trade do you specialize in?
I like too do all areas of home repair. I can do anything that needs to be done around the house.
- How many projects do you average in a year?
I average 6 projects per week so in a year I would say I do about 312 different projects in a years time. I work 7 days a week and usually have something new every day.
- What brands or products do you work with?
I will use what ever the customer prefers. When its my choice in painting I use Dunn Edwards brand paint.
- Tell us about the project or job that you are most proud of (in the last 12 months).
I have remodeled a mobile home bathroom and updated a 1970's home to a more modern home. I built a custom entertainment center and helped restore a 1920's home in the willow district in downtown Phoenix.
- How did you get started?
I saw an add in the HOA news bulletin where I used to live. The HOA was looking for someone to build the play ground for the kids, the board member I talked with, Bert Humpheries hired me to do the job. It just so happened he is a realtor and property manager looking for a Handyman. He kept me pretty busy. when it was slow I started getting my own customers and now I stay pretty busy with word of mouth alone. I still do work for Bert but have networked out valley wide and have one helper and am about to put another van on the road.
- What certifications or professional affiliations do you have?
I am EPA certified in heating and air conditioning. I have taken lots of construction classes such as advanced building trades, Tile setting, carpet design, and masonry.
- What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?
I will give you 10% off your next service call with every paying customer you send me. I guarantee all my work.
- What types of jobs are the most common?
The most common problem I would say is plumbing. I replace a lot of faucets. I also clean a lot of drains and replace a lot of hose bibs. Those anti siphon valves tend to stop working and the home owner will usually take them off not knowing there is a set screw in them and they wreck the threads the hose goes on to.

Dan did a very good job remodeling my bathroom. He had great ideas and turned it into a bathroom I would of never thought possible in a mobile home. He was on time everyday and did the job in a timely manner. The cost of my project was reasonable. I will recomend him to all my friends and definitly use him again in the future.

I had Dan do multipal jobs around my house. He moved my washer and dryer from out side to the garage. A job I never thought possible. He also added a second sink in my bathroom. He put up tile back splash in my kitchen and while he was doing that he noticed the cabinet doors where out of adjustment and loose. He fixed that and didn't charge me for it. I would of gladly paid him. He also put up 2 ceiling fans. One of them was in the liveingroom witch had a 20 foot ceiling. When he was all done and everything was cleaned up and put away he noticed the front door didn't close right. I have been fighting with that door for years. It took him 5 min to fix. I definatly recomend him for any job you need done.
