About Eco Tech, LLC

Eco Tech, LLC offers mold remediation and mold testing services to the greater Philadelphia area and neighboring counties.

We are a company that is committed to sustainable and environmentally friendly services.

We use only ecofriendly and non-toxic reagents in our remediation projects. These products are guaranteed safe and give off zero VOCs.

We do not discard any material that we remove during our remediation process, instead we recycle them. These materials include wood framing, sheetrock, padding and carpeting.

All our office supplies are made from 100% recycled materials; even our vehicles make use of hybrid fuel technology. We make all these efforts to help Mother Nature, to keep our costs down and to provide you with competitive prices.

Questions and answers

  • What areas of your trade do you specialize in?
  • We perform all aspects of mold remediation and mold testing services. We are board certified by the Mold Inspection Consulting and Remediation Organization (MICRO). We also perform restoration services for all water-related damages (sheetrock remove/replace etc.). We perform whole-house inspections and provide our clients with the tools and information needed to make their home mold-free. We provide a 5-year warranty against future occurrences of mold in the areas in which we treated.

  • What questions should a customer ask before hiring a professional in your trade?
  • Are you certified?

    What are your certifications?

    Are you insured?

How long have you been doing mold remediation?

Are you registered with the state of PA or NJ?

Do you have a warranty associated with your work.

Do you use an independent third party lab for your indoor air quality testing?

  • What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?
  • We provide our clients with all the tools and information they need to greatly reduce the chances of another mold-related problem. While the removal of mold can be a very technical issue that requires training and experience, keeping mold out of your home is much easier. If you control the moisture, you control the mold. Dehumidifiers, attic fans, sump pumps, french drains, air conditioners and etc. help to make your home an unfriendly place for mold.

  • How did you get started?
  • I have been involved in the home improvement profession for about 15 years and was always interested in sustainable practices. Reduce-Reuse-Recycle started in my home and it followed me to the work place. 5 years ago I started getting involved in the mold remediation business and really enjoyed the science aspect of the work. I have a degree in biology so it appealed to that sense of discipline.

  • What brands or products do you work with?
  • We use the Microbloc Green Chemistry products exclusively. These products are part of thier Green Chemistry line and are a great resource for us. These products all are biodegradeable and eco-friendly. The company does a great job to support us and train us in the proper use of all of thier products.

  • How many projects do you average in a year?
  • We average about 1 project per week ove the course of a year. We perform the majority of our mold remediations in the spring, summer and fall. We also perform an average of 5 inspections per week so we are constantly out there in the field and learning on the job. You can do this type of work for years and you will still learn new things if you try.

  • Tell us about the project or job that you are most proud of (in the last 12 months).
  • This is an easy one. I took a call at 6pm on a Sunday this past September. On the line was a hysterical woman who was about to pack up and leave her home because she thought she was suffering from mold toxicity. She was frantic and was looking for as much information as she could take in. I stayed on the phone with her for 2 hours and answered all her questions. She really appreciated my patience and knowledge and we ended up performing a mold remediation for her that week.
