Maintenance:

We often hear people say, “Aquariums are beautiful but they are hard work!" Elite Aquaria makes it easy. We take pride in setting up sustainable systems by using the correct equipment, establishing an efficient maintenance schedule and keeping up-to-date on advances in the industry. Whether you'd like to sit back and enjoy the water feature, or interact and get your hands wet, we will set up a service schedule that meets your needs.

Consultation:

Do you have an aquarium or pond that is an eyesore and you can't quite figure out why? Need help designing a water feature? We have a marine biologist on staff that can meet with you to complete a thorough examination, water testing, resolve algae/livestock problems, etc. This allows us to provide you with the resources and solutions that you need, and gives us a competitive advantage that other companies do not have.

How did you get started?

Owner/Aquarist Justin Ficaro first fell in love with aquatic animals as a child while searching in tidal pools off the coasts of Maine during family vacations. Justin had his first aquarium at the age of 12 and went on to study marine biology at Fairleigh Dickinson University. While in college, he completed two field studies in the Caribbean and was awarded the Excellency Award in Marine Biology upon graduation. Motivation to start Elite-Aquaria culminated after years of working for other local aquarium companies and noticing deficiencies in the attention given to customers and lack of respect given to the livestock.

How many projects do you average in a year?

We are continuously designing & maintaining aquariums & ponds as well as consulting. It is hard to put a solid number on the number of custom installations done in a year...

What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?

After custom installation, Elite Aquaria will continue to maintain your aquarium or pond. We also do emergency visits as well.

Because most installations also turn into long-term maintenance accounts, we tend to do more design, maintenance and consulting than installations themselves.

Elite Aquaria installed and maintains our 55 gallon saltwater aquarium here and we love it! The aquarium is in our lobby and everyone that enters the business raves about it!
