Questions and answers

  • How many projects do you average in a year?
  • We average approximately 96 events per year. Keep in mind we are double booked on many occasions which means we could have a staff of 8 or more serving two different locations. However it is imperative that we never over extend ourselves because it is our duty to give our clients the ultimate experience each and every time. We pride ourselves on Quality not Quantity.

  • What do you wish customers knew about your profession or trade?
  • As a professional mixologist we are trained to mix your drinks according to your taste, and tolerance level. Our job is not to get you drunk but to get you socially comfortable, yet relaxed and aware of your surroundings. So when we recommend you don't drink that, please take our advice or drink it at your own risk. We want all of our clients to drink and enjoy responsibly.

  • How did you get started?
  • The CEO and Founder Shawn Collins started in 2008 with an imagination. Her ultimate goal was to supply attractive and skilled bartenders behind the bars of homes, venues, and promotional liquor campaigns. Creating an online vision board, she began receiving calls for parties from customers looking for a service that offered more than just an ordinary bartender. Building upon her ideas and perfecting the brand we now present Elite Bar Society and The Barkittys.

  • What types of jobs are the most common?
  • Destination Parties

    Birthday Parties

    Engagement Parties

    Anniversary Parties

    Promotional Campaigns

    Album Release Parties

    Sporting Events

  • What brands or products do you work with?
  • We have relationships with several liquor companies. However in the year of 2012 it is our goal to represent several spirits under the National Distributor Company or Diageo Brands.

  • What questions should a customer ask before hiring a professional in your trade?
  • A future client of Elite Bar Society should always be prepared to answer the following questions regarding their event staffing needs.

Our consultants will need to know:

    • The date of your event.
    • How many guests you are expecting.
    • Will this be an open bar or cash bar?
    • Do you have any attire preferences for your staff members?
    • How can we exceed your expectations and make your event a complete success?

  • What information do you recommend to have readily available before looking for a professional in your trade?
  • Before contacting a bartender you should have the following secured:

    The Venue

    Date of Event

    Event Theme

    Guest List

    Glass Ware

    Alcohol Budget

    Your Choice of Spirits

    • However if you don't have these things in order no worries, for a small price we can assist you with it all. We have DJ's, Caterers, and Photographers on staff for your convenience.

  • What certifications or professional affiliations do you have?
  • Our CEO Shawn Collins is a graduate of the National Bartending School of Atlanta with 40 hours of training.

She is also a graduate of Northern Kentucky Universtiy with a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations with a Minor in Marketing.

She is currently pursuing her Hospitality and Marketing Certifications at Cornell University.

  • What would you recommend customers looking to save money?
  • I encourage all of my customers looking to save money to consult with a member of Elite Bar Society for a personalized shopping list. This list is based upon the amount of guest attending your event and the type of drinks you want to be served. When you hire us to tend your event we implement inventory control and management to make sure you never run out of alcohol. In most cases our clients have plenty of alcohol left over.

  • Tell us something customers may not know about you.
  • I'm a very caring and considerate person.

  • What are the most frequent questions you get from customers? What are the answers?
  • What is your rate?

Our rate depends on several factors, for starters we require a four hour minimum. The amount of guest you are expecting will determine how many bartenders you will need. The average bartender can accommodate up to 60 people at an open bar event.

  • Tell us about the project or job that you are most proud of (in the last 12 months).
  • Its very hard to name the most exiting project that we've done, because all of our clients have been a pleasure to work with. However the two events that stand out the most are The Surprise Casino Party & The All White Yacht Party.

The Casino Party was so exciting because Mrs. Jennie Garner contacted us a year in advance to plan a surprise party for her husband. Her request was simply a Las Vegas Showgirl and A Playboy Bunny Bartender. She was able to hand pick her girls and approve the costumes. Needless to say her husband and all of her guests were wowed by the experience and professionalism of our Barkittys.

The All White Yacht Party at Lake Lanier was also an awesome experience. The Client wanted three bartenders in all white bikinis and butterfly face paint. Within one month they hand picked their staff members and approved the attire. When our staff members arrived they were blown away by the beautiful yacht, they had even given them their own suite for hair and make up. The face paint artist was phenomenal. We greeted the guest on the red carpet as they posed for pictures and served them champagne, placed Hawaiian leis around their neck, and pinned flowers to the ladies hair. We finished the night with Bahama Mamas, Tequila Sunrises, and Margaritas on the rooftop yacht bar.

The very next weekend were contact by Lake Lanier to host another house boat party and needless to say that client had an awesome time as well.

  • What areas of your trade do you specialize in?
  • We specialize in luxury, premium, organic, and fresh bar buffets. Some of our setups include:

    Body Bars

    Fruit Bars

    Chocolate Bars

    Cognac Connoisseurs

    Mix it yourself Mixologist

    Specialty Bars of your choice

As an Elite Bar Society our staff members are among the most attractive and professionally service personnel in the industry. It is our goal that all of our staff members compliment your event and theme. We give all of our clients the liberty of handpicking their staff members. At Elite Bar Society you will have it your way.

  • We do offer a team of photographers. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this service to ensure the memories of your event last a lifetime.
