About Erik Westergard
My name is Erik Westergard. I am a Union Journeyman plumber with 19 years experience in the plumbing trade.
I am a second generation plumber as my dad was in the trade over 50 years before his passing.
I work with my brother who has 9 years experience. On bigger jobs where more help is needed, we hire only union trained plumbers to assist us.
We are not like other "contractors" who hire flunkies to do the job for you and assure you that, because they are licensed, you have no worries.
We work following a union motto to do the job right the first time and stand behind our work.

- What certifications or professional affiliations do you have?
I worked 4 and a half years as a plumber's helper before I was able to get into the apprenticeship. I did a full 5-year apprenticeship and turned out as a Journeyman plumber in 2000.
I have worked as a journeyman plumber since that time out of the union plus side work over the last 6 years.
I have worked in all phases of plumbing (service and repair) in residential, commercial and industrial settings.
I've done mostly residential projects in the last 5 years (apartments, student housing and condos).
Before that, I did mostly commercial work, notably the following:
- Oakland Coliseum remodel
- Raiders
- Federal Building
- Elihu Harris Building
- Oakland City Hall remodel
My industrial work includes the main EBMUD sewage treatment plant and all of the bay area oil refineries.
