Hawthorne Lawn Care and Landscaping has been in business for the past 3 years. We are a small company packing a big bang.

We offer all the services the big companies offer at a fraction of the cost. With over 7 years of service in the green industry, we would like to offer our services to anyone needing that lawn manicured.

We do everything from mowing your property to cleaning out those flower beds. We even haul off junk that has piled up on your property. We offer discounts to seniors and service men and women.

  • What certifications or professional affiliations do you have?

  • We are affiliated with Planet. A green industry organization. landcarenetwork.org. They offer alot of resources and training's and meetings we take part in.

  • How did you get started?

  • Got started as a little kid mowing my own grass. Then through the years mowed friends and others property's. Then started work with a couple company's and doing landscapes and general mowing on residential and commercial properties.

  • What brands or products do you work with?

  • We work with a few different brands and products. Some of the brands we like to use are Ex mark mowers, Sthil hand held equipment, echo, rain bird, hunter, alliance led lighting

  • Tell us something customers may not know about you.

  • I am a advocate for special needs children. They need all the support they can get. I recently lost a step son who was special needs.

  • What types of jobs are the most common?

  • Most common jobs are lawn mowing and plant installing as well as sod installs. These are the most common for us.

  • What would you recommend customers looking to save money?

  • Well hard to say what i would recommend. Really depends on the service you are looking to have done. For each service there usually is a second alternative to do the project and not be as costly. But i would also say not always going cheap is the best way to go.

  • What do you wish customers knew about your profession or trade?

  • Id wish they looked at it like a art. Taking care of someones property is a art form. Everything from proper watering to the right amount of fertilization to the height of cutting the grass.

  • How many projects do you average in a year?

  • In a year we probably do about 12 big projects a year followed with little jobs in between as well as our normal lawn maintenance service that is monthly

  • What areas of your trade do you specialize in?

  • Lawn Maintenance and Landscaping. From planting plants to installing sod. Also from trimming trees to keeping that lawn mowed. We also can perform irrigation checks on your system and get you a system installed at a reasonable rate.

  • What are the most frequent questions you get from customers? What are the answers?

  • How much do you charge for lawn mowing?

    What we charge is on a house by house basis. Not every property is the same.

    How much for a estimate?

    Free

    What is the time span for you to get back to me?

    Normally within 24hrs or same day. If we are on a mower went cant hear our phone.

  • What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?

  • Depending on the work. We warranty any plant or sod install for up to 30 days. Meaning if a plant dies in that time we will replace it for free. Also if new sod just doesn't keep healthy we will fix the problem area at no cost to you.

    If a irrigation is in stalled we will fix the issue under labor or parts warranty.

  • Tell us about the project or job that you are most proud of (in the last 12 months).

  • The project i am most proud of would be the job i complete for my sister in law. We transformed her landscape into a beautiful landscape that she is loving and protective of.

  • What information do you recommend to have readily available before looking for a professional in your trade?

  • Just what you are wanting to have done or a plan of what you want to have done or just make sure you ask the right questions. Maybe your lot plan would help to that way we can have the measurements already.

    Back in June, I needed my back yard re-sodded. I called around for estimates and everyone was giving me really outrageous prices. I made one more call to Hawthorne Lawncare and Landscaping and spoke with Chris. He came out and took a look and told me I didn't have to really re-sod the yard but to do a two=step process of core aeration and over-seeding. Well, it is August now and my yard is greener and healthier than before. Thank you, Chris!
