About JACKson of All Trades

We provide household and office moves within the great state of Texas. In addition, we provide furniture delivery and assembly. As a licensed, bonded and insured moving company, you can rest assured that your belongings will be handled carefully and that you will be treated with respect and gratitude for your business.

We offer a FLAT RATE price that stays the same no matter how long it takes and there are never any extra or hidden charges. The price you are quoted is the price you pay once service is rendered. This flat rate model gives us the incentive to get the job done quickly as opposed to an hourly model where the movers tend to work slowly to milk as many hours as they can.

my most favorite and successful project is one started with the city of austin. we provide furniture to homeless veterans who are placed in apartments. They move in and don''t have a stick of furniture. So what we started doing was telling our customers that we can pick up their old furniture and donate the pieces to a great cause. The pick up doesn't cost the customer a cent. Then once a months once we have amassed a load of furniture our company donates our time, labor and truck to deliver the furniture to the Veterans. We have received a civilian medal of honor from the Mayor of Austin for these efforts and I would say it is our proudest endeavor.

The number one question is are you licensed, bonded and insured? There are over 100 moving companies in Austin and less than half of them are licensed. This is where you hear those horror stories of movers loading up their truck and holding your belongings for ransom. This is definitely one of those industries where you get what you pay for. If a mover says they will move your entire apartment for $250 be VERY WARY.

We average about 800-900 moves a year. Our goal for next year is to hit 1,000! We hope to be able to match quality with quantity.

Got started in 2005 while living in Brooklyn. Had a pick up truck and realized that the big moving companies wouldn't do small loads and furniture delivery. Boom that was it...found a niche and filled it. After that we started expanded to full on house moves. Since then we have done moves in Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and now Austin.

After the work is complete we often times go back for minor handyman work i.e. hanging tv's on the wall, mirrors, etc. We also can come and haul away junk and put together just about any piece of furniture.

That it is astronomically expensive to be a licensed, bonded and insured mover. Also, this is extremely difficult work and we must charge accordingly to make our efforts worthwhile. If you are looking for the absolute cheapest labor possible then you will most likely get the cheapest results.

  • What addresses are involved in the move?
  • What is your target date?
  • Approximately how many boxes will you need us to move?
  • Specifically what furniture items do you have?

Are there stairs or elevators on either end of the move? Any obstacles to getting our truck into the loading zone?

The easiest way to save money is to move all of your small items and boxes on your own. It's considerably cheaper if we just have to move your furniture.
