  • How did you get started?

  • I grew up in a construction family. Then moved on to the maintenance field for more of a verity and have been doing maintenance work for over 15 yrs mostly in the hotel field a lot of which as chief engineer for a major Hotel chain.

    I recently went into my local Dunkin Donuts for a cup of coffee and noticed a business card for Johnsons Handyman Service, LLC on the counter. After talking to the manager who was serving me I found out that this Company is not only her "go to" man for their maintenance issues but for all 16 Dunkins in the area.

    The next day, after finding my "honey do" list I decided to give Scott, the name on the card, a call. After speaking with Scott for a while, I decided to give him a chance. The next day, at the exact time I told him, he was on my door step.

    For the next 3 hours Scott worked like a beaver, repairing my mailbox, cleaning my gutters, repairing my leaky sink, caulking my tub, and balancing my ceiling fan on my deck. He even fixed my hand rail and bottom step on my porch without me even asking.

    I figured he was just trying to rack up time that, I would have to pay but after he gave me my invoice I noticed he had only charged me for 3 hrs and not the almost 4 that he was here. That only meant one thing; He did not charge me for the fixing of my porch that he spent 45 min on and his own wood for the step as I am on a fixed income that meant a lot to me.
