About Kelly Garsee Photography

Kelly Garsee offers creative documentary-style photography in the Dallas/Fort Worth area from everyday to the "big day." She artistically captures the human element of life and allows you to preserve your memories forever.

Her photographic services cover weddings, maternity, newborn, children's, modeling and acting head shots, product and commercial as well as pets.

• How many projects do you average in a year?
A.

• I would say I do between 100-150 photo shoots a year. I shoot a wide variety of subjects, from weddings and portraits, to products and pets. I also volunteer my services with several local charities for fundraising events.

• What do you wish customers knew about your profession or trade?
A.

• A digital camera does not make you Photographer!

• What would you recommend customers looking to save money?
A.

  I am always running specials and contests. I have a trade program where I offer gift certificates in exchange for props. And I offer discounts for new client referrals.

• What areas of your trade do you specialize in?
A.

• My specialty lies in my ability to artistically capture life as it happens. My style is non-traditional and photojournalistic.

  My customer services skills set me apart from the crowd.

  My goal is to hear "Wow! You really captured their true personalities."

• How did you get started?
A.

• I have had a camera in my hand from about age four, as it is a hobby for both of my parents. In 2008 I decided to go back to school and pursue my passion as a career. In 2011 I graduated from the Art Institute of Dallas and I absolutely LOVE my job!

• What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?
A.

• I offer an online viewing gallery for viewing and ordering purposes. I work with several different vendors to offer an array of options to fit every need and budget. Metallic prints, custom albums, heirloom canvas prints, iPhone and iPad covers, coffee table books, custom cards and announcements, gallery wraps and Story Blocks.

• Tell us about the project or job that you are most proud of (in the last 12 months).
A.

• I have recently started offering the "Belly to Baby" package which includes both the Maternity and Newborn sessions. It is so awesome to connect with my clients during their anticipation of the maternity session and reconnect with them once their little bundle of joy has arrived.

• What questions should a customer ask before hiring a professional in your trade?
A.

• What is your style? And can I see some of your previous work?

  I think the most important factor in hiring a professional photographer is that your styles match. Examine their portfolio... because that is what your photos will look like. Ask questions ad make sure you are comfortable with the answers.
