- What information do you recommend to have readily available before looking for a professional in your trade?
Short and simple would be to have your vin number also known a your vehicle identification number handy. It makes everything easier in the long run. You might think and say you have a 2000 model. Then the repair shop orders parts for a 2000 model. It then comes into the shop wrong parts (some parts are special order). Then the repair shop checks the vin number it says 1999 parts are required for your vehicle.
Different parts equals different prices, amount of repair labor involved, waiting times, availability. Could turn a good week into a bad week.
So before you call for a quote have your vin number.
