Questions and answers
- What areas of your trade do you specialize in?
LiteSync specializes in the complete integration of all voltage systems in a structure. This is an approach that solves many of the issues in today's modern construction process. High voltage, low voltage and a certified lighting designer will see the big picture of your project in a superior manner.
- How many projects do you average in a year?
LiteSync executes many types of projects yearly. From simple service calls to the recent upgrade of the Tucson Marriott University Parks automation system. We help several property management companies that service communities throughout Tucson. We also have had many of the same customers for over a decade and each one we consider our most important. We are very blessed to work in such a diverse and thieving city such as Tucson!
- What questions should a customer ask before hiring a professional in your trade?
Ask what contractors license or licenses the owner of the firm holds? This is important to know because many companies "farm out" work and you will get a less than seamless installation. Ask if they are a lighting designer and not just a good mechanic. Today's lighting is complex and getting this critical function correct is to important to guess at. Ask if they are bonded and insured. Ask if they have customer references.
- What do you wish customers knew about your profession or trade?
Our biggest goal, is to help clients understand that using one company for high (electrical power,120 volts or more) and low voltage (audio/video distribution, security fire medical systems data and communications), systems will save them a lot of money over all. They will not be billed by several companies, getting various liens, documents of insurance, proposals, contracts, invoices, or worst yet, the conflicting ideas of the project. Basically, the "all under one roof" concept saves them both time and money and always provides a better end product.
- What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?
LiteSync provides a complete follow up service to help our client get the most satisfaction from our installations.
We provide instruction booklets, product specifications, warranties and web site access for their best information. LiteSync also offers maintenance contracts for ongoing property or product management.
- Tell us something customers may not know about you.
LiteSync's officers, David and his wife Kelly Rishor have been working together for over 8 years and they make perfect partners, at work and in life. He has the tradesmen/designer skills and she has the business knowledge. Both enjoy photography, art and nature.
- How did you get started?
LiteSync started in 1976 as an electrician to then become an electrical contractor. From there, we saw the fragmented evolution of electrical construction, as it relates to voltage systems, and developed a company that repaired this providing a better end product at a superior price point. We brought seasoned technical field skills together with cutting edge technologies, by staying aggressive in learning new systems, advancing in lighting and automation training and diversifying our services.
- What information do you recommend to have readily available before looking for a professional in your trade?
A budget is imperative. All design work and install work depends on the funds available for any given project.
- What certifications or professional affiliations do you have?
David Rishor is the only electrical contractor in the State of Arizona who holds both a commercial and residential electrical contractors license and a Certified Lighting Consultant accreditation with the American Lighting Association.
- Tell us about the project or job that you are most proud of (in the last 12 months).
We recently finished a multi-million dollar home in Dove Mountain that featured the LiteSync approach. We installed all of the high voltage and low voltage systems making the builders job so much easier. In this home we installed the awesome new Elan g! touch screen control with iPad and iPhone interface backed up by the solid and perfect Savant/LiteTouch lighting button keypad. We also installed the security alarm systems and supplied them with security maintenance contract. Now when there may be a service call needed on a system, the client does not have a variety of vendors to sort through wondering whom to call. One call and LiteSync is on the way!
