About Mid S Builders, LLC
We have been operating for over thirty-eight years now throughout Washington DC, Maryland, and other states depending on the project and the relationship with the company or customer.
Our company is family owned and operated with our own employees, meaning, we sub-contract out very little work that we do. We do a lot of work for companies such as Before Industries and Rupert Landscaping.
Thirty percent of our workload is through insurance companies. We do a good bit of emergency work throughout the mentioned areas.
Questions and answers
- How many projects do you average in a year?
Up until 2007 we would build at least 6 houses in a year (turn key) 10 plus Kitchen and Bath Room Remodels 2 or 3 major Additions a few garages and unlimited amount of windows and doors with exterior trim as well as 2 to 3 pool renovations and a few big Hardscape jobs Between 2007 till 2011 We have been doing a lot of Commercial Framing along with 4 big Property Management / Landscaping Projects How ever things have been picking up the past 4 months
- What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?
We always give one-year guarantee with all services from time of completion as well as honor the warranties from all manufacturer supplied through us. Also, we go above our one-year guarantee, depending on the situation and circumstances of course.
- How did you get started?
To long of a story, We will just say that before we started this (home Improvement ) Are family had already had a Tree Service and Land Clearing Company local and i started doing the home improvement because do to a injury at my job back in 1995 workman's comp didn't pay the bills. so after doing this and that for friends and family things just took off and before we knew it we had had to inc. are company and separate into several different divisions.Lets face it we did not want to be a Jack of all and a Master of none....
- Tell us about the project or job that you are most proud of (in the last 12 months).
We had a elderly Husband and Wife out of Chevy Chase MD that had their Basement flood out and out of 4 companies, ( per homeowner) we were the last top be called and after we had completed this one project not only did the Homeowners tell us how great and easy we had made everything for them that's ( dry out, demo and replace drywall, paint , re-trim, excavation around house down 5'to 12' + 3'wide and re waterproof basement and install sump system with re graded soil around house and sod, flower beds ,Etc. We beat all other contractors by 20% + and this is what allowed these people to do everything that needed to be done right and all at once. And yes we still made a profit,it feels great to help people out while doing your job!
