About Multi-Dimensions Tutoring

I am glad you stopped by. My name is Steven Scherer. I am a certified English teacher. I have taught middle school, high school and college English.

I tutor students in reading and writing skills in all subjects. Everyone learns differently. I communicate well with young people and strive to find their unique learning style.

I use both traditional and creative strategies to improve reading and writing levels. I utilize critical thinking skills, exciting reading material and personalized writing topics to improve a student’s reading and writing communication.

I prepare students for standardized tests, fill in all learning gaps and make learning something to be excited about rather than dreaded.

I help with homework, projects in all subjects and teach young people to be organized and to develop excellent study habits.

In the summer, I prepare students for their upcoming classes and provide an enriched summer program.

  • How did you get started?

  • I grew up in a family where both my parents were teachers. I earned both my BA and MA in English. I have taught public and private school English in Florida and North Carolina. I now tutor full time.

  • What certifications or professional affiliations do you have?

  • I have teacher certification in Florida and North Carolina. I am affiliated with Mothers Against Drunk Driving and have run clubs at the high schools I taught at.

  • Tell us about the project or job that you are most proud of (in the last 12 months).

  • I have recently finished tutoring a bright middle school student who had severe Attention Deficit. He had a hard time with time management, motivation and staying on task. His academic weaknesses were in writing and science. I used his science curriculum to help improve his writing skills also. He received all A's and B's this year with me, as opposed to D's and F's last year before my help.
