What questions should a customer ask before hiring a professional in your trade?

Make sure they have professional experience. Many "Computer Technicians" will work on your computer, but most of them just tinker with computers as a hobby and don't necessarily know the ins and outs of your computer. Allowing someone with this limited knowledge to change important settings in your computer can end up costing you more money when you have to take your computer to a more experienced technician in order to correct what the previous one did.

I make sure to follow up with my customers to make sure the issue is completely resolved. Many times, your computer appears fixed when the technician leaves, only to find out later that it was only temporary and the issue has resurfaced. I verify with my customers that the job is actually done to their satisfaction.
