About Puget Sound Hypnotherapy
Hi, my name is Kathleen Boehm. My goal is to help people tap into their own abilities to achieve their goals using hypnotherapy.
I have free consultations, private sessions 45-90 min. long, seminars and workshops on many different topics; to name some, these topics are:
- Decrease Symptomology with Fibromyalgia
- IBS
- Pain Management
- Motivation
- Natural Childbirth
- Smoking Cessation
- Weight Loss
- Stress management
I am an R.N. and a medical support hypnotherapist. I have specialized in pain management, fibromyalgia, IBS and childbirth.
I do many other things, too. Hypnotherapy has many applications and works beautifully. It's totally natural and works relatively quickly.

Questions and answers
- Tell us about the project or job that you are most proud of (in the last 12 months).
Everything is confidential, but I can say in the last 12 months I have helped people with fibromyalgia, IBS and arthritis decrease their symptomology greatly. With childbirth, the clients have had very satisfactory natural childbirth. Those with stress and anxiety are enjoying a better quality of life and feel more capable to handle life’s ups and downs. Those with insomnia are having a better quality of sleep. Weight loss clients are buying smaller clothes and report feeling and looking better!
- What do you wish customers knew about your profession or trade?
Customers need to know that, when in hypnotherapy, you are aware of everything. You can't get "stuck"
No one can make you think or do anything you do not want to.
This is totally natural; you just access the ability that you have.
This is not against any religion.
I simply guide you, so you can learn to use it
- What areas of your trade do you specialize in?
I specialize in fibromyalgia, IBS, childbirth and pain control. I work with many other categories. Hypnotherapy can be used in many situations, including pre-surgical and post-surgical care. The applications for using hypnotherapy are almost unlimited, from childbirth and cessation of smoking to losing weight to stress reduction. It is also used as an adjunct to many different medical procedures.
- What certifications or professional affiliations do you have?
I am registered and certified as a medical support hypnotherapist.
I am affiliated with the:
International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy
Association,
International Board of Hypnotherapy
The American Council of Hypnotist Examiners
Blissborn Hypnotherapy Educators
I am certified by the Hypnotherapy Academy of America as a medical support Hypnotherapist
I am certified in hypnotherapy for Fibromyalgia and IBS by Melissa Roth
I specialized in pain management by Scott Sandland and Michael Ellner
I am also an R.N. who has worked medical, surgical, in L&D, post-partum, as a mother/baby educator and lactation consultant, and as a neonatal nurse specialist
- How many projects do you average in a year?
It really varies. I do about 12-16 seminars and workshops a year.
- What types of jobs are the most common?
Fibromyalgia, IBS, childbirth, arthritis, smoking cessation, weight loss, stress management, panic attack/anxiety, insomnia, phobias, trauma reversals, help with increased healing, pre-surgical and post-surgical help, self-confidence/esteem, job performance/test taking, motivation and more
- What information do you recommend to have readily available before looking for a professional in your trade?
Do their research, so they can feel comfortable with hypnotherapy. Check out the hypnotherapist to be sure you have rapport with them. It is important that they are ready to allow the process to work.
- What questions should a customer ask before hiring a professional in your trade?
Customers should be sure someone in my field is licensed and certified as a medical support hypnotherapist and registered in the state.
They should check to see if the hypnotherapist has had any specialized training in the area they are seeking help. You should also check to see if they have had a lot of training as a hypnotherapist.
- What would you recommend customers looking to save money?
I have special rates for pre-paid packages
10% off packages of 3 sessions
15% off Packages of 6 sessions
There are workshops that are reduced rates.
- What are the most frequent questions you get from customers? What are the answers?
Can I be hypnotized?
Yes, 100% of all people can, but 5% will not because of fear or they don't want to.
Will I say or do something I don't want to?
No, no one has the power to make you say or do anything you wouldn't want to.
Can I get stuck in it and not come out?
No, no one can get stuck, no more than someone getting stuck while daydreaming or napping.
- Tell us something customers may not know about you.
I have great compassion and empathy for my clients and work 100% for them to achieve the best results possible.
- How did you get started?
I've always been involved with working with people. I am an R.N., who worked in medical, L&D, neonatal care, post-partum and as a parent educator. Hypnotherapy became a subject that I started to study and when I found how great it works and that it's totally natural, I knew I wanted to help people using it.
- What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?
I will always see a client for more appointments if it is needed. In smoking cessation, I offer one follow-up visit for 1/2 price, if needed, within 6 months of starting the cessation program.
