About Rent a Helping Hand
We ( Rent a Helping Hand) are a small family business. We are a moving labor company. We are insured for 1 million.
Where you provide the truck or P.O.D., we provide the labor. You've got a truck , we've got the muscle!!
We provide the following services:
- Loading / unloading your truck or P.O.D
- Pack and unpack
- Clean
- Driving rental trucks local or long distance
Our Labor Charges:
2 Labors for the first 3 hrs=$190.00 after that it's $50.00per hr
3 Labors for the first 3 hrs=$265.00 after that it's $75.00per hr
4 Labors for the first 3 hrs=$340.00 after that it's $100.00per hr
Yes we move Upright Pianos / Hot tubs / pooltables
We don't move: Gun safes / Baby or Grand Pianos
We come with for no extra charge: Hand Truck / Dollies/
Moving Pad ( 3ply or reg) / Straps / Rope / Hand or Power tools
Please note: All our staff come with clean backgrounds and have company shirts. We are fully insured ( G.L / 1 Million). Please, if you need a copy of our insurance, make sure you put in a request.
Sorry we don't do cheaper rates or out bid other companies. Also, we don't do flate rates over the phone or email. It must be done in person with two weeks notice. We haven't received any complaint about our prices. So if you are looking for cheaper rates, we are not the company for you.

- How did you get started?
To be honest , I started with a crapy cell phone, one hand truck and my wife's car.
My first job was in Carteet where my helper ( he has since started his own company called Quick Moves) and I helped a school teacher move.

Upright pianos, pack and load/unload a 4200 sq ft house, a long distance move from North Jersey to N.C
Never forgot this one job - customer wanted my helper and i to travel all the way to CT to pick up a rental truck and load up two couches then deliver to Pennington, NJ.

Since July of 2011, my crew and I have done over 600 moving jobs.Yes, I a have very good rate of happy customers.

Tell you what I hear from customers, they tell me over and over.
"They give me a low ball rate , day of my move they ask me for a deposit and told me it'll be higher than what the bid was." - red flag
"There was no markings or MC # or D.O.T # / on the truck." - red flag
Listen folks there are scraps, rip-offs, and hustlers out there. Beware! By having a rental truck or pod you ( as a customer) are in control of the job.

I'm all about saving money, time, and relieving stress. All you have to do (as a customer rent a truck or P.O.D) and I provide the labor. I don't deal with hidden fees or ask you for a deposit. I simply do what is asked then after the work is done I collect my fee ( hourly rates).
