Questions and answers
- What areas of your trade do you specialize in?
We specialize in general automotive repair including; brakes, electrical repairs, tune-ups, timing belts/chains, drivability, cooling systems, charging systems, and complete overhaul/rebuilds. If it's broke or just in need of some good old fashioned tender loving care, Robinson Automotive is the best prescription for your car. We've got your fix.
- What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?
Here at Robinson Automotive we stand behind our work. If ever there is a problem with a service we performed, or a part that we installed, we will honor our exclusive 100% guarantee. Guarantee honored within reason, not to exceed (3)three months or 3000 miles on most of our services and/or repairs. Ask for details, certain restrictions apply, no guarantee on customer supplied parts.
- What would you recommend customers looking to save money?
Other repair shops will give you an estimate with a price "range" that they rarely land in when it's time to get those keys. At Robinson Automotive, we see you as family and treat you accordingly. In today's economy the last thing you need are surprises, our estimates are one firm "price quote" and rarely if ever differ from what is owed after the service is complete (96% of the time it's less than what was originality quoted). We are also, to the best of our knowledge, the only shop that will itemize repairs in order of importance so you can pay for what is needed now and worry about the less pertinent repairs later. That's why at Robinson Automotive, you keep more of your money where you want it, in YOUR pocket.
- What certifications or professional affiliations do you have?
We are a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business and we hold an A ranking.
We are listed on Angies List as well as KATU Communities.
Our shop received the MojoAwards "Best Mechanic, Cornelius, Oregon" Award.
We also work with Washington County Road Maintenance keeping America beautiful as an Adopt-A-Road volunteer.

- Tell us something customers may not know about you.
When I was 3 I started hanging out in the garage with my father who was always working on someones car. I quickly became enthused about cars, how they look, how they work and most importantly, how to fix them. I could read wrench and socket sizes before I could read "See Spot run!" At the ripe old age of 7 I successively diagnosed a "noise from under the hood" as coming from a worn out water pump. I then, with the help of Pop's BFH (Big Freakin' Hammer), broke all the bolts loose and replaced my very first water pump. In high school I fought for the right to skip through the basic mechanics classes and jumped right into the advanced classes. It's here that I was able to hone the skills passed down from my father as well as develop new skills and gain new insight and was able to rebuild a transmission and a few engines. I was soon fixing on or up most all of my friends vehicles. After high school (several years after) I worked for nearly 10 years with various Ford dealerships and then another 12+years with a couple independent shops. I enjoyed the connection the independent shops had with their customers so much that we decided to get in gear and open our own Auto Repair. The rest they say is history.
