About Speak Math! Tutoring

I have been tutoring math for over 3 years. Aside from tutoring privately, I am a math tutor at Valencia College. I tutor in many areas of mathematics, from grade school to college levels. I work well with kids and adults alike.

I tutor in:

• Honors and AP Courses Included

My rates are very fair. I work with each student's needs, ensuring that I am getting the material across in a way that they understand. Each student learns differently and moves at a different pace.

I have a quiet office in Casselberry (near Maitland) where I do my tutoring. I could meet in a neutral location, but I prefer to meet at my office.

Math is a language and I can help you or your child speak it well!

• How did you get started?

• I started 3 years ago by putting an ad on Craigslist about math tutoring. I got a response from a college student taking pre-calculus algebra. Since then I've acquired many students.

• What areas of your trade do you specialize in?

• I tutor many areas of mathematics including all Algebras, Geometry, Trigonometry, and PreCalc/Calc I.

  I am very good at breaking concepts down and explaining them in a way that the student can understand.

• I once helped a freshman in high school taking Algebra I honors turn his grade around from an F to a C in the last three weeks of school. He got an A on all his tests after I started tutoring him. I saved him from failing the course in less than a month.

• What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?
A.

• I will follow up to ensure the student is doing the assigned work. I am available for questions via phone, text, or Skype if extra help is needed.

  Mike tutored my high school student in Algebra. My son's grades improved a lot, and he has been able to keep up with it on his own. I think Mike helped him really understand the material, and it has stuck with him.
