About Tennis For Body and Mind

The team at Tennis for the Body and Mind ( TBM ) is a comprehensive and in depth tennis training service. We offer drills and private lessons orientated at all age groups and skill levels.

We started in early 2011 as Tennis for the Mind and offered private lessons. We serve the Greater Green Bay area, and some parts of Appleton.

Our philosophy is "the conditioning of the mind, the movement of the body, and the paint strokes across the court create a beautiful masterpiece."

We focus on thoughts, concentration of strokes, flashing footwork, and agility to build a solid tennis game. We are unique to the Green Bay area because we are locals.

We grew up playing tennis and have played for most of our lives and some of us went on to the college level.

We want to share our passion with all, and with every skill level and age group. Molding fine young adults out of children, adding a quicker step to those more experienced, and teaching the basics to those without a clue is our passion.

Our favorite quote is "sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take between two deep breaths."

Try your first lesson free. Contact us for start times for drills and camps, as we trying to get a few up and running.

First Age Groups: Age 8-15 Saturday 9am-Noon Bay View Middle School Cost: 5$ per person!

Questions and answers

  • What brands or products do you work with?
  • We work with mostly Babolat, Wilson, Dunlop, and some Volkl raquets. If a client does not have equipment we are always willing to loan them a trial and see which one they prefer.

  • What questions should a customer ask before hiring a professional in your trade?
  • First of all, ask what will I receive in the lesson? Many will only work on hitting your strokes or barely make you move around at all, find someone who will help you all around, and tune up any rough edges you make have. Also price is important, many charge ridiculous prices for minimal lessons, so make sure your getting your money's worth.

  • What areas of your trade do you specialize in?
  • We specialize in the " high activity" sport of tennis, both lessons, drills, and advice. Our most notable specialty is the prestigious training for the speed, footwork, and agility we desire in all clients. Along with the right mentality and proper skills of hitting and returning, we create an all around tennis game.

Testimonials

I received great help from both Paul and Kevin during my attempt to start tennis. I can't tell you how amazing the workouts that go along with the lessons are, both exhausting and helpful, they me get into shape! It was worth the 20 dollars an hour, I can tell you that! I received other discounts on certain days if I brought my kids and wife. It seriously was fun for the whole family! I would recommend anybody on the TBM team especially Paul who helped me with most of my lessons, but Kevin and the other gal were all awesome people! Take a lesson. You wont regret it!
