Questions and answers
- Tell us something customers may not know about you.
I offer an extremely wide range of services uncommon to most computer repair companies, including motherboard circuit repairs, video game console repairs, HDTV repairs, data backup solutions that wont break the bank, affordable networking solutions, custom PC builds that include overclocking and custom cases, paint and lighting.
- What are the most frequent questions you get from customers? What are the answers?
Q: What kinds of service do you do?
A: We perform all kinds of services related to computers, networks, entertainment centers, video game consoles and PC's. The most common services we perform are Virus/Spyware Removals, Data Retrieval, Home Network and DSL setups, and Custom PC Builds. For a more complete list please check our service or prices pages.
Q: How much does it cost for you to come look at my problem?
A: Nothing! Our on-site evaluations are completely free with no obligation. We will come to your home or place of business and give you a quotation upfront before we start working. Not until we are finished working and your problem has been solved to your satisfaction do we take payment.
Q: What kind of payment do you take?
A: We take cash, check, or credit card through Paypal and Google Checkout.
Q: Do you need to take my computer away to work on it?
A: In most cases no. We can complete our work in the convenience your own home or office while you watch or wait. In some cases, like with a data retrieval or if you have a particularly stubborn virus, we will need to take your computer to our office where we have more powerful tools and equipment to work with.
Q: Can I drop my computer off with you and pick it up at a later date?
A: Absolutely! We can also arrange to have your system picked up if you would prefer to save gas.
Q: Will you set up email, Paypal, Ebay, or other types of accounts?
A: Sure! We have a great deal of experience setting up various accounts like ATT DSL, Skype or MagicJack phone service, Outlook or Windows Live Mail programs, or even things like Xbox Live!
Q: How do you compare to other local or national services?
A: We are a small local business with 9 years of industry experience. We know that a happy customer makes us a happy business, and we make it our job to make your day better. We deal fairly with our customers by having no minimum charge and giving completely free evaluations. Our rates are competitively low, but our service and customer support is far superior. We make it our business to get your issue solved without headaches or an empty wallet.
Q: What do you do to keep me virus free after cleaning my system?
A: We provide a full security suite for each system we disinfect which includes an Antivirus, three Antispyware utilities, and a system tune up program. We will demonstrate regular maintenance steps you can take to keep your system clean as well as educate you on threats and vulnerabilities.
Q: What kind of guarantee do you have on your service?
A: For most services we offer we have a two week free support policy, which means that if you experience any issues related to the work performed within two weeks of the completion of your service call, we will do everything necessary to get you back up and running in a timely fashion. We also have a two week return policy for parts and equipment, but may need to charge a 15% restocking fee depending on the item in question.
- What certifications or professional affiliations do you have?
I have a CompTIA A+ certification, a B.E.A.R (Bureau of Electronics and Appliance Repair) License, and an accreditation with the Better Business Bureau.
- What would you recommend customers looking to save money?
Instead of buying a desktop computer off the shelf, have me build you one from scratch! My base model costs about as much as (or a little more than) a low-end unit from a store but is guaranteed to last at least 5 years without needing further upgrades to stay on top of new software updates.
Generally desktops selling for $350-450 in a store are underpowered for the operating system they're loaded with to begin, and the hardware is further taxed as new updates and versions are released that require more resources.
I tend to spoil my customers with the speed of the desktops I build.
- Tell us about the project or job that you are most proud of (in the last 12 months).
I developed a reliable repair and modification to a high-end monitor that has a well-documented factory defect of overheating. The modification prevents the defect from causing any issue to the monitor in future:

- What information do you recommend to have readily available before looking for a professional in your trade?
It's good to have at least a basic idea of the issues you're experiencing, as well as the type of device, the operating system if applicable, and any "strange behavior" leading up to the issue in question.
- What do you wish customers knew about your profession or trade?
Larger service companies have huge overhead, which means that they cannot offer the same level of service for the same price. A certain black and orange tech team, for example, charges almost three times what I charge for a virus removal, and for the most part don't even perform the task adequately and resort to wiping a system clean rather than dealing with the root of the problem.
They also are heavily restricted on their ability to use unconventional methods of repair or service. If a motherboard dies in a computer, all they can do is replace it, whereas I have the option and ability to repair the board at the circuit level, saving my customer both time and money.
- How many projects do you average in a year?
This is very difficult to determine, but I would estimate somewhere in the realm of 300-450 projects a year.
- What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?
I always make sure my customer is completely satisfied with my service before calling it done, which spans all of my services.
Specifically on computers, I offer 30 days of free remote support after any major service performed, as well as a completely free and very effective antivirus / antispyware software suite.
I also like to follow up with my customers after a couple weeks to ensure their devices are still working properly.
- How did you get started?
After working for several other service companies in the past, I had a lot of bad experiences working under the policies of those companies. Those policies forced me to either sell things to my customers that they did not need, or in some cases to outright lie to them.
After a time when I was unable to get a new job of any kind, I decided instead to make my own.
- What questions should a customer ask before hiring a professional in your trade?
"What do you think is wrong with my ####?"
If you don't get a straight answer or they demand to be paid before you know what the full extent of the repair will be, then there is something wrong!
I offer FREE diagnostics and evaluations, and I stick to the price I quote to my customers. I also do not accept payments until the job is completed to the satisfaction of my customers.
- What areas of your trade do you specialize in?
We specialize in virus removals and repairs, circuit board and power supply repair, video game console repair, custom pc builds and many other services as well.
