Questions and answers

  • What areas of your trade do you specialize in?
  • I specialize in the following:

    • Emergency repair
    • All scopes of renovation
    • Crawlspace
    • Roofing
    • Chimney
    • Sub-floor
    • Block/post
    • Insulation
    • Vapor barrier
    • Weatherization

    • Demolition

  • Tell us about the project or job that you are most proud of (in the last 12 months).
  • i replaced a 400ft waterline for an old woman for parts and payment plan , what makes this so special to me was the fact a well known plumbing company were gonna charge her 34,000.00 to probe the line one foot at a time with three crews , the poor woman is a janitor and was without water for over 3 weeks ! i promised this old woman clean running water by the end of the weekend on friday ,and by god at 11:45 pm sunday night ,she not only had clean running water (with parts that went well beyond industry standards) from the meter, she also had a brand new water heater with expansion tank and hurricane strapping . all for about a fifth of the other bid price. at the end of that job i paid out more then what i received from the down payment, but it sure was worth it!

  • What certifications or professional affiliations do you have?
  • Tell us something customers may not know about you.
  • i will refuse a job if i feel it is unsafe, dishonest,or unnecessary to the goals of the person i'm doing the job for regardless if its a homeowner or another contractor. not everything is about money. and my reputation to me is worth more then a few easy dollars.

  • What questions should a customer ask before hiring a professional in your trade?
  • Depends on the situation.

If it's an emergency repair, they should ask, "How soon can you be here?"

If it's a remodeling job, then customers should ask about the cost, time frame and abilities.

  • What would you recommend customers looking to save money?
  • spend the extra money and get the job done right the first time around , i run across a lot of jobs with shortcuts and people wind up paying twice to get the job done right.

the trick is to find honest people that are good at their skill-set.

back when i was just learning ,an old rental owner used to tell me "any decision that costs a substantial amount of money is worth sleeping on." she is a very wise woman indeed

  • What are the most frequent questions you get from customers? What are the answers?
  • my rates?,my experience?,can it be done?

i do not charge hourly or daily ,its strictly a bid system on the amount of work and the length of time my company has to stand behind that particular project,if that means 10 years later i have to comeback and fix something that i was at fault on ,then that is exactly what i will do.

i have been in the construction fields since i was 18 everything from roof to foundation ,and i'm smart enough to know when i'm out of my comfort zone and wise enough to bring somebody with that skill-set in.

anything can be done if its needed ,some things just take more thinking then others

  • What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?
  • I call back.

I also leave some contact information. They are free to call me if there are any issues.
