Questions and answers
- What are the most frequent questions you get from customers? What are the answers?
The most frequent questions I get asked is. Do you enjoy what you do and can you see yourself in fifteens years still doing it? Yes I love doing what I do. I wouldn't trade this for anything else. Yes I can see myself in fifteen years still doing this. Hopefully by then we have 20 trucks and 3 different departments.
- What questions should a customer ask before hiring a professional in your trade?
Are you insured?
How long have you been in the lawn maintenance business?
Do you have any references and or any pictures of previous jobs you've done in the past.
- Tell us something customers may not know about you.
Customers may not know that I have been doing lawn maintenance since I was 9 years old mowing lawns for the entire neighborhood I lived in. I have still been maintaining a lot of their lawns still to this day and love the fact that they were the first ones to give me my big chance.
- What would you recommend customers looking to save money?
It depends on the service they are looking at getting done. If they just want Lawn Mowing we charge a reasonable rate for that. If they are interested in big landscaping jobs that would require spending a nice share of money on, I would tell them to shop around for supplies to find the best deal possible when it comes to the material aspect of it.
- How did you get started?
We got started by saving up a lot of money from jobs we were employed at. We took all the money saved up, and bought a all the equipment needed to start our lawn care/lawn maintenance business.
- What areas of your trade do you specialize in?
Lawn Maintence, Lawn Mowing, Weed Whipping, Edging, Hedging,Aerating, De-thatching, Fertalizing. Anything outside we specialize in. There's no job to big for Walton's Cutting Edge and no job to small.
- What brands or products do you work with?
We use a lot of different products, we have a Toro zero turns, Echo weed whippers. We have used Lesco walk behind mowers along with Exmark walk behinds/ zero turns.
- What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?
After we have finished whatever we were hired to do, we provide our customers a final touch up free of cost. We go above and beyond to make sure all our customers are happy with our services.
- What do you wish customers knew about your profession or trade?
I wish customers knew that anyone can start a lawn maintenance business put of their mom and dads garage. It takes a real business person that has been doing this job for a long time to do what we are capable of doing, verses the people that believe doing this is fun and games. It takes hard work and deduction to do a good well done. I basically wish customers could tell who's worth buying services from and who isn't.
- Tell us about the project or job that you are most proud of (in the last 12 months).
The job I'm most proud of is the sod installment I did for the Target in Apple Valley. It took us two days to complete and when it was finished it looked wonderful.
- How many projects do you average in a year?
We average 3-4 projects per year. That ranges from sod installment to patio's with bricks as the main ingredient.
