Q.
• How many projects do you average in a year?
A.

• Project volume varies from year to year and is largely based on the scope of projects being performed at any given time. Some projects demand more time and attention than others but all projects deserve and receive the highest quality of work and professionalism. For example a typical roofing project normally only takes us a day, whereas an addition project may take up to several months to complete.

• What questions should a customer ask before hiring a professional in your trade?
A.

• Before hiring a professional contractor or trades person, a customer should ask the contractor if he or she is properly licensed, insured and in good standing with the state licensing board. A client should also be clear on any proposed warranty set forth by the contractor or set forth by the manufacturer of the materials proposed for use in installation.

  A customer should not be intimidated to ask any type of question regarding the installation process, even if it seems like it might come across as being silly. Remember, you do not do this for a living and they do, knowing exactly what you are paying for ahead of time and having it in writing is never a bad idea.

• What areas of your trade do you specialize in?
A.

• We specialize in all areas of home improvement and building. We can take an undeveloped plot of land and build a full functioning, livable and beautiful new home on it. In today's market we find most people opting to renovate existing homes rather than build a completely new one. Wildcat Construction offers full renovation services: Roofing, siding, window, bathroom, kitchens, basement finishing and waterproofing, gutters, flooring, carpentry (rough & finish), doors and more!

• What would you recommend customers looking to save money?
A.

• In any economy budget is certainly a concern of all consumers. Something to keep in mind is that the cheapest quote is not always the best one. At Wildcat Construction home improvements are what we do! We are not a "fly by night" company that only offers a "tail light" warranty. Tail light warranty: As soon as you the tail lights of the installer disappears so does their warranty.

  The larger companies that are typically seen in t.v. commercials are often reputable but someone has to pay for all of that advertising. At Wildcat Construction we maintain a web presence and low overhead of operating costs to save our clients money and keep projects affordable.

• What services do you provide your customers after the work has finished?
A.

• After the work has finished, a thorough job site cleanup is just as important as the installation of the job itself. A complete walk through of the job site itself and an inspection of the work completed are an integrated part of every project.

  We also offer the client access to future notifications of any specials or sales on installations and materials. Furthermore, we provide, at no additional costs to the homeowner, a yearly inspection of all fully installed roofing and siding systems. It is important to make sure that the sealant used on roofing and siding flashing be maintained. Most sealants are only guaranteed for up to five years.

• How did you get started?
A.

• I got started in the construction and home remodeling business as a young teenager working with family. After graduating high school I started running my own professional crew and put myself through engineering school. After working in the field of engineering I found myself feeling dissatisfied and so took what I loved doing, home improvements, to the next level. I've working in the field now for more than twenty years.

• Tell us about the project or job that you are most proud of (in the last 12 months).
A.

• In just the past month (August 2012) we finished up an addition project in Bloomfield, Michigan. The client had secured their own blue prints and attempted to handle the contracting of the project themselves. After several trades people had come and gone and performed less than quality work he contacted Wildcat Construction. After carefully reviewing the original plans drawn up by the architect we noticed a severe flaw in the plans. We coordinated with the architect to make the necessary adjustments to the blue prints. We then repaired the substandard work that had previously been performed and built the rest of the project to both the clients and cities approval. A client that had a bad taste in his mouth from dealing with non-professionals has now become a life long friend and customer. We are starting a bathroom remodel for him at the end of this month.
