Got laid off from my job as a computer programmer in 2007 and decided to pursue a new career that I had been doing as a hobby which was rehabbing houses and figured out that I was very good at it.

I provide a one year guarantee on labor if anything should go wrong?

I provide a walk through of all work completed and answer any questions they may have.

I provide free advice on any other projects they may have.

I average 5-10 good size projects each year which doesn't include smaller less than 1 to 2 day jobs. Much of my work comes from clients that have a list of jobs that have accumulated over time and they want us to come in and make that list disappear.

I have a college degree in Computer Science and was a computer programmer for 10 years before starting my business. I built websites and also maintained computers.

I wish that people had a better understanding of the time and effort it takes to become a good handyman. Not only learning the different trades but all the different tools of the trades that we use in everyday business. Also I wish they would understand that some things may look easy and they think it may not take much time but in reality there are things that are more complicated than they look on the surface.

A good idea of what they want to accomplish along with an idea of what the budget will be for each project.

There are many ways to save money, but a few that will start saving right away are to seal any air leaks in the house, especially around doors and windows and add extra insulation in the attic. Replace old faucets with new lower flow units. Install a programmable thermostat if one is not already there.

I have a client who bought a house and 80 acres that wanted to convert it to a hunting lodge. We did a total repaint, all new flooring, installed a fireplace and many other items. This was a unique experience because of what he was wanting done.

I have used Fred as my handyman since before I broke my ankle 4 years ago. While I was in a rehab for 6 weeks, I needed work done on the house I was returning to. I had no worries that Fred would take care of everything I needed to get the house ready for me. He had to relocate a washer and dryer, run new plumbing and other things. Fred does plumbing, electrical, repairs, and whatever else I need.

My 93 year old aunt lives next to me, and she also relies of Fred to get all of her changes and repairs done quickly, efficiently, and competitively priced.

I trust Fred to get all my work done. I feel confident enough to just leave him here alone when I have other errands to run. He is honest as can be.

And, he loves my dogs. Oscar thinks Fred is his best friend.

Fred is my "go-to" handyman. He's versatile (building walls to electrical to plumbing and more), reliable, conscientious, and very reasonably priced. Any time I have a client that needs something that falls into his sweet spot, I recommend that they call Fred.
