Having so many skills allows me to do most any home improvement project, and the projects I am most proud of are kitchen and bath remodeling projects. The project that stands out most over the past 12 months is a total tear out and remodel of a large master bath, which include removing a built-in tub and replacing it with a free standing unit, replacing the shower, vanities, sinks, tile floor and painting.

I average about 6 large projects a year and dozens of smaller handyman projects.

Plumbing, electric and drywall repairs seem to be the most common areas that homeowners are looking for help with.

Do it right the first time and you will save money. Hire a reputable contractor, check the references, make sure they are licensed, and use quality materials for the job.

I clean up all of the work I have done and the surrounding areas if needed , and I warranty all of my work and guarantee 100% satisfaction.

I would like customers to understand that when it comes to home remodeling and having someone in your home everyday for a few weeks, you really do get what you pay for if you don't do your research. Check references, insurance and licensing. Be wary of any contractor who requires a large upfront deposit to start the job, 50% or less is typical for a large project, anything more should be a red flag.

  • Do you have references that I may call?
  • Do you carry liability insurance?
  • Do you warranty your work?
  • How long have you been in business?
  • Do you use sub-contractors?

I have always been someone who would tackle most any project rather then hire someone to do it for me. I spent many years as an automotive and heavy truck mechanic and several years as a partner in a mechanical services company. I eventually went into management and then sales, but always continued to work part time doing handyman and home improvement projects. Over the years, I have acquired an extensive knowledge of carpentry, plumbing and electric and in 2006 I decided to do what I liked doing the best as a full time job and business.

Have a good idea of what you want the finished product to look like. Today there are many sources from which to get pictures and ideas and to research products.

Are you a franchise? No, I started this business myself and do 90% of the jobs myself. On ocasssion, I have a helper I can call when I have a larger project and/or need another pair of hands.
