Questions and Answers
-
What types of jobs are the most common?
Home Repairs to "handyman" services. Most persons do not have the time, skill set or the tools to do the job and must rely on other's to perform these tasks... very simply put: I would not operate on myself as a doctor, and I would not expect them to have the contractor mind set. Of course, there is always the exception.
-
What are you most proud of?
My own personal home remodel. Starting from the Kitchen, I have progressed toward the rear of the home - often using material from "Demo" projects to save on expenses. Firm beleiver in NOT repairing an issue with a bandaid and staying within budget. Works for me - must work for others as well.

What kind of questions do customers ask you?
How much money? Do You Finance the project? Are there guarantees and for how long? Again, it all depends on what we are doing.
-
Do you offer any service after finishing the work?
Customer Service is foremost with any project combined with a guarantee both the property owner and contractor will be happy with.
-
What is important to know about your profession?
Not all contractor's are alike. Unfortunately, as with every entity, there are persons who leave the customer feeling used and abused.
-
What questions should a customer ask before hiring you?
Do you currently have an Active License and properly Bonded with the CSLB to insure protection? Do you provide free estimates in writing and guarantee your work?
-
What do you recommend to know before hiring you?
An idea of what you would like to do. Doesnt have to be "written in concrete", but an idea to start with - than a budget that is realistic.
As a Mobil Employee (Retired), I use to handle "Special Projects" in the construction arena. Once retired, I was told by a neighbor who was a manufacture for Home Depot, "You should get a License". From there, I have taken several test's in California and Nevada to become a licensed contractor and worked on many projects where safety was a major concern - with no-one hurt on my watch regardless of the entity I was working for or with.
