About GRACELAND Window & Doors, LLC

Graceland Windows, Doors, Design is a full-service retrofit, replacement window + door company based in Austin, TX. We serve a variety of needs: large and small, basic and custom. Our objective is to determine what works well with your home's architecture/design, and to provide you with the best energy-efficient options at an unbeatable price.

The Graceland approach remains that a replacement window should always fit the house, not the other way around. We believe that your window, door, and/or blind purchase should be a one-time investment. Graceland holds themselves to the highest standards based off that belief, which is exactly why we walk you through all options personally, providing you with the most efficient and design-friendly window and door selections for your home.

Graceland's pursuit is entirely consultative. During every step of the process, you will work directly with me, the owner. You will never experience high-pressure tactics or commissioned salespeople.

Graceland is more than just a product company. We are a service company, and every facet of our business hinges on that principle.

What to expect at a free consultation:

  • Exact pricing. No hidden fees, or buy now and I'll take 30% off tactics. In fact, I encourage you to get at least 3 bids.
  • I'll bring window samples, so that you can get a feel for the aesthetics, and then determine what is best for you and your home.
  • My quote is good for a year, so there is absolutely no rush. I work for you and your time schedule.
  • Unlike many companies, both spouses do not have to be present. I am happy to show one, or both, our products.
  • The free consultation should take between 20-45 minutes, depending on scope. I understand that life is busy, and I respect your time.
  • I'll explain lead times and expectations. As a consumer myself, I don't like surprises and I like to be kept in the loop. When it comes to that, I live by the Golden Rule.

Graceland offers a Lifetime Warranty on its Vista Series, Don Young Series, and graber Window Coverings. Graceland also offers a 1-year warranty on all labor.

I got started young doing remodels with my dad in the small community we grew up in north of Dallas. Eventually, my dad passed a lot of the purchasing responsibilities off to me and that's when my due diligence phase really began. I've made a point to be extremely deliberate in choosing which manufacturers to work with, and which manufacturers I'll put my name on.

Don Young Windows are home-grown, in Texas, made in nearby San Antonio. They produce a window that is specifically engineered for our climate; not for a northern climate. They also maintain a sterling reputation for quality, efficiency, and design. Don Young's thermally-broken aluminum is perfect for those who want a more minimal design without the sacrifice of efficiency.

When deciding on window manufacturers I believe in, Vista Window Company hit all the marks. From their lifetime warranty to vast exterior color pallet, Vista has a window in which I feel extreme confidence. It's rare to find a window that leads its class in both efficiency and design, all while keeping a competitive price-point.

If you live in an HOA, verify that the work can be done on your home. Most HOAs love when homes are getting a makeover, but I've seen some instances where there have been hurdles made to jump.

The bulk of our business is in replacing old, existing contractor grade windows and replacing them with new dual-pane energy-efficient windows. Depending on your budget and the overall aesthetic you hope to achieve, GRACELAND offers choices in High-Quality Vinyl, Thermally-Broken Aluminum, and Wood.

GRACELAND also specializes in Window Treatments + Coverings (Shades, Shutters, Blinds) and this accounts for about 50% of our business. We offer GRABER exclusively, and you can view our entire catalog at www.GRACELANDwindows.com/windowcoverings.

I would always get multiple bids and I'd stay away from high pressure, commissioned salespeople, and urgent selling tactics. I will always encourage a customer to shop it around and get a feel for the people they're doing business with. I'm a big believer that every big decision requires 24 hours to think about, and this is a big decision.

Also, I recommend noticing homes in the neighborhood and getting a feel for windows, design, and materials used. We learn a lot about what we "like" by the things that are in plain view. Another great reference is www.houzz.com. It offers a wealth of creativity and ideas, all at the click of a button.

We are very satisfied with our experience replacing windows with Graceland. We had done this sort of thing before at our home in Kansas so we had some benchmarks on pricing already. I don't want to sound like a broken record repeating what other reviewers have stated but Jacob was great to work with. He was honest and thorough, and I felt like he genuinely cared about getting our project done right. He showed up to the job site, walked through the final inspection with myself and his installers, and he answered all of our questions. We do recommend this company.

We have worked with Graceland Windows for a number of remodel projects throughout the Austin area. Their windows are stellar - the quality is top-notch -we are always given tons of options, and that is especially appreciated for the high-end custom homes.

Jacob is great to work with. His delivery and approach is impressive because he doesn't just try to sell homeowners the most expensive brand. He is easy-going and affable, and a dream to work with. He also takes his time, works with designers, and ensures that everyone is happy. A small business like Graceland is hard to find in a quickly growing city like Austin that is over-populated with builders and contractors just rushing to get the job done. We know we can depend on Graceland; we couldn't be happier with their work ethic and ability to deliver a job done right.

We HIGHLY recommend Graceland Windows + Doors.

We had Jacob out about 6 months ago to take a look at some French-style doors we have and get some general pricing on new windows. First, I want to mention that Jacob found an alternative to replacing our doors which no other company we got quotes from mentioned to us. He was also quick to work up a quote for replacing all of our windows, 14, and was extremely helpful in doing so. In the end we used Graceland Windows and we are very pleased we did. The replacement windows are high quality and aesthetically perfect for our home, and Jacob was honest and personable. We confidently recommend Graceland Windows.

I started looking for replacement windows in our South Austin home back in April of '14 and quickly grew tired of sales guys overselling me and telling me what I "needed". Needless to say I called very few back. I finally quit kicking tires in August and decided to get 2 more quotes and Graceland Windows was one of them. Immediately I liked Jacob and the way he talked WITH me and not at me. He showed me samples and even gave me addresses of some homes he had installed similar windows in for my wife and I to take a look at. The pricing was fair and the product has endured nicely through some of the hotter and colder days we've had. Overall, I'm very pleased with the replacement windows we purchased, the installation, and the way that the owner dealt with us. I'd choose Graceland Windows again if I were to do it all over.

My husband and I started the task of getting estimates for replacing all of our windows in September and we quickly got overwhelmed with the process and the seemingly nice yet pushy salesmen. Then walks in Jacob with Graceland Windows.

With Jacob we never once felt like we were "buying" something. He was patient and focused, and in the end we felt we could trust him. Graceland's price point was also very competitive and Jacob was wonderful in spelling out expectations of lead times.

We've had the new windows (18) for a little over a month and we love them. We haven't received a current Electric bill since having the windows but I'll update once we do. The overall comfort of our home has risen considerably, and the noise outside has been greatly reduced. We are extremely pleased with our windows and Graceland was definitely the right choice for us.
