Questions and Answers

  • What are you most proud of?
Its not very often that run across big organizing jobs, but recently got the chance to organize a 3 bay garage that was wall to wall boxes and stuff from a move 2 years earlier. I had a blast working with my clients purging and organizing into clear labeled totes. Helped build shelving and storage that moved everything up off the garage floor. Now they park 3 cars in the garage~
  • What types of jobs are the most common?
Customized housekeeping is actually most common. It seems that many clients live in a home that they don't entirely use, so cleaning just parts of the used common space is actually most common:)
  • What do you recommend to know before hiring you?
Know the square footage of your home, number of bedrooms, bathrooms and the number of levels to your house. Also know what things are extra special that you'd like done to make your experience personalized.
  • What kind of questions do customers ask you?
Can I pay by Credit Card? What should I do with my pets?
  • What we may not know about you?
I strictly hire English only housekeepers. It is also very important to me that the woman I hire have chosen housekeeping because they LOVE IT! Not because its the last resort job opening.
  • How can we save money hiring you?
Use cleaning companies that send one housekeeper and charge by the hour. If you have a budget ask to only spend that amount and customize your cleaning checklist.
  • Do you offer any service after finishing the work?
I personally offer the clients the ability to pay by Credit card after they are able to check the quality of work.Emailed invoices
  • How did you get started?
I have always LOVED cleaning and organizing. When I was 12 I started cleaning for my neighbors instead of babysitting:) I used cleaning as a source of income in between jobs until 2007 when my dream of Full Service Housekeeping as a primary source of income became a reality! Everyday I go to work and know that I make a huge impact on my clients lives:) Gotta say its very rewarding to be part of so many families!
  • What questions should a customer ask before hiring you?
  • Is your cleaning service Licensed?
  • Is your cleaning service Insured?
  • Are your housekeepers contracted or employees?
  • Are they Bonded?
  • Do you guarantee your work?
  • Do you give discounts for the elderly?
  • Do you bring the equipment and supplies?
  • Do you offer "green" cleaning methods?
  • What is important to know about your profession?
I would love it if clients knew that they should be direct when telling a housekeeper what they want. Its tough to be a mind reader, but we will always try!
  • How many projects do you average in a year?
I average 20 or so organizing only projects in a year. Clean in over 500 houses each year. Got projects for me?

I feel compelled to respond to the poor review that was posted about Knock Knock Housekeeping and Deanna. I didn't think it was a good idea to get a housekeeper when my wife suggested it. I was home the first time Deanna came to our home. I am tough to please but Deanna did just that. She was polite and kind to me and did a great job of cleaning our house. Her attention to detail was the most impressive. She doesn't just do enough to make it appear clean, she really deep cleans everything she touches. We have continued to have Deanna care for our home on a regular basis. I can't imagine that we could ever find someone else as honest and hardworking as she is. Shame on Tina for defaming this lovely young woman.

Deanna and her girls have cleaned my house for three years now. She runs her business extremely well - cleaners are always prompt, flexible, and very thorough. It's hard to find fault in her cleaning abilities. What I think is more impressive about her is her professionalism; that is where she really shines.

I am a very picky person - very much a perfectionist and can find fault in almost anything (unfortunately). Any time I have questioned her about anything, no matter how tiny, she has responded with a smile and showed me what has been done, and then inquired about how I would like things approached in the future. She is very eager to please and very willing to clean things "your way" even if that is not really the best way to clean it. I've ended up changing my mind, and she's taught me a thing or two! :) But she never takes things personally when you speak to her in person about things, but rather is happy to hear what you have to say. I've never felt defensive or uncomfortable talking with her - she is very open and never confrontational.

If something is damaged, (which happens when you clean many houses, and have a staff that cleans even more houses under your business name), she is very honest and trustworthy, replacing things immediately. I have seen her go above and beyond in this capacity. This to me is a huge signal of integrity - I have had other housekeeping services that have tried to hide things they have broken, and would do anything to get out of paying for things. She does not do this. This is not to say she is klutzy and things get broken often, but things do happen. It has happened only once to me as a fluke accident, and I was watching from the outside during one instance that involved one of her staff. But I wanted to mention it because the way she handled this is a huge indicator of how honest she is.

Her only flaw is that she is passionate about what she does and about the reputation of her company. She works extremely hard.

I have used Knock Knock for years and I will not use anyone else! Deanna is prompt, professional, flexible and above all else has a huge amount of integrity. My favorite day of the week was always the day she was there cleaning my house, it literally sparkled! Her services are worth every penny and then some. On a couple of occasions something dropped during a cleaning and broke, Deanna informed me right away and replaced the items. Many cleaning services do not have the same policy. I highly recommend Deanna and her team!

I used Knock-Knock for a move out clean and was pleasantly surprised when the owner came out to do the job herself. I came home part way through the clean and it already looked amazing! Best part was the job was done right and the apartment couldn't even try to charge me for anything.

I have had this company come clean my house several times. They always do a great job. I especially like when the owner comes as she is super friendly, and does the best job of them all. Loving this company and wish I could afford to have them come clean every day for me!

Hi Tina, just wanted to respond to your poor review. First off your husband book this service knowing it was just an hourly charge of 30/hr. No one ever said you could get your entire house cleaned in the 2 hour min. Just because you previous team housekeepers that can work for pennies, doesn't mean everyone can. Your house had not been properly cleaned for a LONG TIME! and we really strive to not be surface cleaners and to ACTUALLY clean your home well. I'm sorry that you were looking for cheap half a work, but that's not our style. Of coarse I was not receptive when you called to get the rest of your house cleaned on a Saturday but only wanted to pay for an hour when my housekeeper told me you needed at least another 3. After she sent me pictures of your home, even I was stunned of how bad it was. You needed us! too bad you were too full of pride about what you wanted to pay for housekeeping to realize it. I suggest maybe purchasing a kitchen garbage can instead of throwing all your garbage under the kitchen sink and on the floors. Maybe buy a broom, a vacuum, and some cleaning supplies so you can maintain your home in the month long duration you wait to call a company to come in and clean. That would likely help you meet your cleaning budget requirements. Seems you go through a lot of housekeepers and this could be why. Wish you the best of luck!
Feel free to email me for before and after pictures of this woman's kitchen. The pictures are night and day!

Worst cleaning service ever.People beware. The owner is so rude.and will never make sure that house is clean as compared to there hefty charges.Be ready to pay 100 $ for small area clean since they charge per hour and these guys make sure they work really really slow.
