I can repair, install, and maintain most anything one would find in a single or multi-family dwelling. This includes carpentry & demolition, light electrical and plumbing, painting, drywall, and even smaller jobs.

When it comes to tools, and materials, I always use the best quality possible, while staying within budget. When it comes to tools, I favor Milwaukee, Irwin, Porter Cable, Dewalt, & Comparable brands. I have accounts at Sherwin Williams & Home Depot to purchase their respective paint products at a significant discount from retail.

Questions and Answers

  • What are you most proud of?
Complete renovation of a 1500 sq foot apartment, updating it with modern features throughout. After this was complete, the owner was able to double the amount of rent she had previously charged for it.
  • What we may not know about you?
I was born in Ohio and went to college at Kent State University. I am a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan.
  • How can we save money hiring you?
Don't try to cut corners. What may seem like is saving money in the present will cost you more to fix later.Take your contractor's advice on trade matters. Myself and many others will charge you by the hour, so the more you micromanage us on the job, the less actual work we get done on your dollar.
  • How did you get started?
Like many handymen, my first teacher was my dad. I have worked as a carpenter, laborer, painter, electrician's helper, building maintenance man, and picked up a variety of trade skills along the way.
  • What kind of questions do customers ask you?
I have a lot of people who ask me how old I am, because a lot of the handymen out there are a little older and they're surprised to see a younger guy show up. I just reassure them I'm old enough to know what I'm doing!
  • What types of jobs are the most common?
Installation / assembly of furniture, plumbing & electrical fixtures, apartment turnovers & renovations. Full interior paints. Light construction - decks, fences, sheds, playground equipment, etc. "Honey Do" lists of smaller items..
  • Do you offer any service after finishing the work?
If anything I work on should fail or malfunction due to my labor, I will make things right on my own time.
  • What is important to know about your profession?
There is a shortage of competent and trustworthy tradesmen in our city, which means that there's often a significant wait time before I can come and help you with your problem.
  • What questions should a customer ask before hiring you?
  • Do you stand by your work?
  • Can you provide an example of a mistake you made on the job and how you were able to rectify it?
  • How much is this going to cost?
  • What do you recommend to know before hiring you?
References, Average Costs, and exactly what it is your would like done. Time frame is also very important.
  • How many projects do you average in a year?
Probably a dozen large projects and numerous small ones.
