Questions and Answers

  • What is important to know about your profession?
Verify that the company you are hiring has a Structural engineer on staff. So many companies out there just go to get a professional license which is easy to get but don't bother learn enough about the trade they are engaged in. When you trust someone to lift and stabilize your home, you need to be 100% sure that this company can be trusted to do the work right!
  • How many projects do you average in a year?
We average about 100 structural projects, 250 PolyLEVEL projects and about 100 waterproofing projects.
  • What do you recommend to know before hiring you?
  • Year the home is built
  • Type of foundation in the home
  • Timeline to get the work done
  • list of questions
  • Do you offer any service after finishing the work?
We provide 25 year fully transferable warranty that guarantees our workmanship and materials that we used. We are the only authorized dealer of Foundation Supportworks and Basement Systems in Greater Seattle Area
  • How did you get started?
We have started as a small company in 1997 and first did most of our work in residential and commercial remodeling. In 2001, FSI has reached out to us to recruit our company as authorized dealer in our area. All our staff had to go through extensive and rigorous training to learn new techniques and methodology and we still attend yearly seminars, conferences and conventions to keep up with recent technological advances and to retain our expert status.
  • How can we save money hiring you?
Don't delay dealing with foundation problems. They don't go away on their own. Just the opposite: they get worse with time and the repair that could have cost you $5000 will turn into $25,000 expense if it's not taken care of promptly
  • What questions should a customer ask before hiring you?
  • Are you licensed/bonded and insured?
  • Do you have a structural engineer in your company?
  • Do you offer a warranty?
  • What are the condition of that warranty?
  • Where do you receive your installation products from?
  • What warranty comes with those products?
  • What are you most proud of?
We have stabilized a house in West Seattle that was sliding down into the ravine. The owner was not able to sell it due to structural defects but we were able to secure the house to the bedrock and prevent any further damage.
  • What we may not know about you?
We hand dig most of the time! most folks don't realize that we have to be extremely careful when digging in customer's yard for the fear of heating underground utilities or piping. It's hard work especially when it's cold or raining or both!
  • What types of jobs are the most common?
Our most common job is mud-jacking with PolyLEVEL. When you have a concrete slab (driveway, porch or sidewalk) that is sinking due to drainage issues, we can come to lift and level it with our patented PolyLEVEL structural foam that is just as strong as concrete yet 70 times lighter. It dries in 15 minutes and comes with warranty!
  • What kind of questions do customers ask you?
Can you do the work in the rain? Yes, we can and we do! Otherwise, we'd only work in the summer here in Pacific Northwest.
