I have been welding for almost 30 years. I also have built custom motorcycles.

What are you most proud of?

The custom cast iron mezzanine and custom bent cast iron railings for a private home owner in Haddonfield NJ.

What do you recommend to know before hiring you?

A working understanding in what the consumer wants to have made.

What kind of questions do customers ask you?

What the material is made of and the cost and type of paint applications available. There are many different types of metals and if it is tube or solid that changes the prices and as far as paint there are different looks available from classic to weathered.

What questions should a customer ask before hiring you?

Where does the work get done?Is there any guarantee on the product?

How can we save money hiring you?

You could use tube steel instead of solid iron it is cheaper.

How many projects do you average in a year?

Custom projects 25-30 in a year.

What is important to know about your profession?

In my experience when I give prices to customers, they do not understand the amount of intensive labor that is required for custom projects.

Do you offer any service after finishing the work?

All my work has a lifetime guarantee unless it has 3rd party damage.

How did you get started?

Started in high school in shop classes. Then went on to trade school for welding. Continued with my profession at the Philadelphia Naval Yard.

The most common are railings for the home.

This business is a farce! It was Mobile Metals and is owned jointly by his wife. He has run off and refuses to pay any profits to which she is owed. This business has no insurance and is no longer located in Westville NJ. He is a liar and thief. He takes deposits and doesn't do the job or takes MONTHS to do what he was contracted to do in a few weeks. He has no references that can be tracked! Don't do business with this con man!
