You can just relax, enjoy the beauty of your property, and leave the rest to me.

You'll see the difference and wish you'd called sooner.

I specialize in:

  • Orchids
  • Pest and disease control
  • Fertilization

Your plants will be healthy and lush, and your property will shine!

I swear by liquid fertilizers (like Miracle Gro), Espoma brand organics, Orthene insecticide, and hand-watering the areas on every property where irrigation systems fail.

Why don't my plants ever produce flowers? (Poor trimming practices, pest and/or water management)

Why should I keep a 2" cover of mulch in the beds? (Water retention, soil structure improvement, weed deterrent, attractiveness)

  • Do you address the specific trimming requirements of each plant?
  • Will the plants be properly fertilized and sprayed for pests?
  • Will you inform me if you see problems with the irrigation system?
  • Are you interested in the overall quality of my landscaping?

I designed and helped to install several areas of plantings around a new walkway on an estate. The client was thrilled with the result, which made me very happy. I also replanted a balcony container garden at another residence and brought a lot of color and interest to it. I'm most proud of my true love of plants and my desire to exceed the client's expectations.

As a gardener in South Florida, my work is never finished! I care for the plants year-round, whether the property owner is in residence or not. For an additional fee, I can serve as the liaison between you and your various landscape contractors to ensure that they are doing their work to your satisfaction.

There is a huge difference between a "Landscaper" and a "Gardener."

Landscapers generally do not have the time to look for and address issues, such as pests and faulty irrigation, which can keep a garden in critical condition. They also tend to use machine shears to trim everything that grows, regardless of the species and growth habit, which results in ugly, stressed out plants that never get a chance to flower or grow properly. A gardener such as myself truly loves and strives to understand the needs of each plant so it has a chance to be healthy and beautiful.

A gardener will tend to each plant's needs.

I started by making a major career and location change, moving from Boston to Miami Beach and getting a job working for one of the bigger Interiorscapers in FL, taking care of interior plants in upscale homes and businesses. I then became a gardener on staff at The Breakers Resort in Palm Beach. As that property is quite large and ornate, I was educated in the requirements of nearly every subtropical plant one can think of. From there I became an Estate Gardener on an even larger property, and was able to hone my design as well as my maintenance skills.

  • Do you want to change the design/plants or do you just want to maintain what you already have?
  • Do you want flowering plants, which generally require more time for pruning/trimming and attention for nutrients and pest control?
  • How much time do you spend outside on your property, and where are the most important viewpoints from inside the home?
  • How important to you is your home's curb appeal?
