An educated client is great. However, please let the us guide the pathway of the project. If the client is learning about a certain product. please tell us. We may have more technical data about the product if it is going to to be applicable for that entity. The worst thing we want is to install the consumers purchased product and it has an issue.
The most proud project is for the US Navy Commissary. I was the selected contractor to do the remodeling of the barber shop and part of the commissary.Additionally while completing that project I was an enlisted Naval Reserve in the Construction Battalion.
My second best is the contract with the US Coast Guard.
Since 1988 I have been in the construction and remodeling industry. From a local union carpenter, to a Seabee in Afghanistan, to residential and commercial projects experience is extensive. I have started out in the carpentry trade literally sweeping floors and carting lumber. From there working with real estate firms, commercial builders, other local contractors and US Navy Reserves, has grown me to this point. I am licensed in FL, MD, VA, and PA. I started my first remodeling company in MD in 1999.
We like to think that once the project is completed and our customer's are satisfied with our service we want to be their "go to contractor." This is from the simple, hey can you help me out on the phone cause my garage disposal is jammed to they may have extra work.
But that's not the main thing. We send out to all clients 5 months after the work has been completed a news letter and also survey of how the project is holding up. In other words, we want to know if there are issues. We want to correct if the caulk is not right or if a tile has cracked for some reason. Also, if we hear nothing from a client after one year we call and then again 2 years just to check on the project and see how they are doing.
If a client is looking at a certain product, such as paint, windows, doors or even cabinetry. Let us look at that entity. Some products may or may not work in the environment its going to be used for.
If you know you are looking do a project but maybe want to save money. Talk to us. There is a few things that the client can do to help save a few dollars. For example, remove the carpet. Or, have the material delivered instead of us picking up. Additionally, the project is for the customer's home or business. We will offer ideas as well to assist the remodeling project.
