Questions and Answers
How many projects do you average in a year?
I easily do between 40 to 60 small to medium-sized projects in a year's time frame and maybe 10 to 15 larger projects. I approach both large and small projects in the same manner.
What are you most proud of?
I was asked to shoot through still and moving pictures and document the closing of Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Prior to starting PICTUREWORX, I served on the staff at the nation's most famous hospital and just being asked to do it was quite an honor.
While serving in the US Navy, I became the official photographer and public affairs for a naval command. In this capacity, I was able to manage the newspaper for the command and was its primary photographer. Then, people who had seen unique and powerful images in the newspaper would seek me out for personal projects and the rest is history.
Do you offer any service after finishing the work?
- Prints and print products
- Specialty art and home decor items
- Editing and photo enhancements
Additionally, we offer extended coverage and the ability to add someone to a shoot for a nominal fee.
What questions should a customer ask before hiring you?
The two most important things for the customer is what will the style (look and feel) of the images be and what exactly is the customer getting for a particular price point. It's quite important for the customer's expectations to be clear and managed prior to a shoot.
