Questions and Answers
What we may not know about you?
That I pay my movers very well. They are students that make a good living working for me even when I know I could be making way more by hiring movers for much cheaper like other movers do.
What is important to know about your profession?
That we, as students, just want to make a little extra money and that we will not take advantage of them by making the move go long so we can charge more like many career movers would.
What kind of questions do customers ask you?
Are you real students? Do you have insurance?
What are you most proud of?
Moving a sick elderly couple with short notice, they could not find anyone to move them and they were not even ready to move, not even packed up.
How many projects do you average in a year?
400-500 moves a year, and we would like more especially in the winter time.
Do you offer any service after finishing the work?
It depends on if they ask. Sometimes they need more work done after they are moved, such as assembling furniture, hooking up TVs and Internet we can guide them to the right people if we cannot do it ourselves.
What types of jobs are the most common?
Local load / unload jobs.
What do you recommend to know before hiring you?
The man power, packing experience, good customer service.
I worked at a temp agency where they had me go out to work on moves for various big moving companies when I was 19, then I decided to do it myself.
What questions should a customer ask before hiring you?
Rates, reviews, liability issues also ask the movers how long they have been in business ask them to give you their word that they will show and show on time to the move.
How can we save money hiring you?
Hire movers like us that do not charge for gas or mileage after the hourly rates, time starts when we arrive and ends when we finish. Also, hire movers that will not make the job go really long so they can make more money.
