Questions and Answers
I've always had an insane love and passion for beauty and makeup as well as seeing the transformation and accentuation of my finished product on people since I would say about 14 (sneakily) then was allowed to play with it at 16 then at 17, I had been obsessed with learning techniques from anyone who would teach me then finally launching Precious Faces in 2005 as a full time career.

Do you offer any service after finishing the work?
Before I leave, I usually make sure that the client is happy with the outcome and if they need me to stay for touch ups. I will be following up with a thank you card/note and hopefully a good review for services provided :)
-
What we may not know about you?
Of course, if you are finding me here and not personally messaging me for a service on my phone, then we don't know each other. But I would say, I don't eat pork? :) And I have a great sense of humor.
-
What kind of questions do customers ask you?
"Do you apply foundation first then concealer or the other way around?" I actually posted a blog regarding this question as it has been asked way too many times.
-
What questions should a customer ask before hiring you?
Research and be thorough in your inquiry, list your expectations and what you are trying to acquire to help the professional provide you with a more accurate response.
-
What do you recommend to know before hiring you?
I would say products and item you would want to incorporate with the look you are trying to acquire. Specially for a wedding, some brides have their personal "MUST" products they want to incorporate with their look/regimen like their own personal foundation, lipstick or lip gloss.
-
What are you most proud of?
I have worked with many projects and collaborations with many clients and other professionals over the course of my career as a makeup artist and not just within the last 12 months but since inception, I have had the opportunity to volunteer for various organizations and foundations to provide my skill-set and my most proud and rewarding work I have done has to be my work with Children's Trust, assisting other industry pro and giving foster children a full makeover and photoshoot and to have their photos blown up in a gallery size photos and have them displayed in a museum style gallery to help them get exposed for adoption and finding them a permanent home.
-
What types of jobs are the most common?
Depends on the season, but most of the time in my area, it's always weddings and occasional birthday party looks and then I would say music videos.
-
What is important to know about your profession?
That we are not miracle workers :)
-
How many projects do you average in a year?
It usually varies. My line of work is freelance so it usually depends on how much work I can bid on and how many weddings and other gigs I have on my calendar. but almost every weekend there's always a wedding :)
-
How can we save money hiring you?
It usually depends on what you are trying to save money on. Sometimes, there are items and services that I say "You get what you paid for" but I also know that a good service doesn't necessarily have to cost an arm and a leg. Negotiate with the professional and ask if that's the best quote they can give you. Also, bundling services may be another way too if available.
