Questions and Answers
What questions should a customer ask before hiring you?
What product are you using in my home? How fast can a treatment be scheduled?
How many projects do you average in a year?
Treatments are performed in the hundreds and hundreds every year but can vary during different seasons based on the termite biology in a specific geographical location (north vs south CA). Swarming season in southern CA is by far the busiest, however even during that season we can still schedule a treatment with days, not weeks or months.
What we may not know about you?
Even the office staff at Twin Termite San Diego has a field representative license for termites (also known as a Branch 3 category).
Do you offer any service after finishing the work?
Free annual inspections as listed in the warranty.Escrow inspections and bids.
How can we save money hiring you?
Have a second opinion inspection performed. Lots of termite companies will recommend a fumigation/tenting of the property regardless of the infestation. The majority of these treatments could have been performed with surgical precision by our licensed experts and their top grade tools in detection, application and prevention categories. Often, these jobs could have been performed at a lower cost and always without the headache of broken or damaged roof tiles.
What kind of questions do customers ask you?
The most common questions are about how orange oil works, how the detection system works and what we can do to ensure the customer's peace of mind. The simple answers are that orange oil works by an injection method that causes the termites near instant death, the termatrac works by a process of radar detection (no ugly scoping holes drilled into the drywall) and we protect the customer's peace of mind through integrity and diligence at each treatment. Our warranty is full structure and provides re inspections every year the warranty is active. Please call us for an inspection for a further explanation to each of these and more questions.
What is important to know about your profession?
Termites are a way of life in Southern California. At Twin Termite, we take the extra step in not only treating the active and visible infestation you are concerned about now, but applying a physical barrier against future infestations as well. We care to inspect each customer's home annually, which is why we include a warranty with every treatment we perform.
What types of jobs are the most common?
Orange oil treatments are the vast majority of our work but subterranean termite treatment and pre treatment (protecting the open framing on a new or remodeled home before it is covered up) are also common. We also perform spot treatments by request.
What do you recommend to know before hiring you?
If you've already seen termite evidence, please let it remain for the inspector. There are different types of termites in California that need drastically different procedures to effectively treat, and identification of the evidence can be crucial. Also, be ready to talk about prior treatments or inspections and anything like additions or remodels you've had done.
In April of 2007, at 29 years old, Kyle decided to go out on his own and start a company, Twin Termite and Pest Control. The name originated from being an identical twin and having identical twin daughters. He has been serving the community for the past 10 years with services related to termite inspections, home inspections, pest control, and repairs. Kyle and his company enjoy donating and financially supporting different organizations and committees throughout California. Twin has grown to over 50 employees with five locations in Northern and Southern California.
